AAISP rolls out affordable IPv6 routers

There aren’t enough affordable Internet Protocol IPv6 consumer routers, so we should roll one out, thought Andrews & Arnold (AAISP) and presented its new gear: Technicolor TG582n.

All new AAISP customers will notice that the ISP provides IPv6 as a standard along with a free Billion 7800N broadband router, which otherwise costs £120.

You are not the only one who noticed that throwing £120 here and there is not very economically viable. AAISP head Adrian Kennard noted that the firm “obviously could not keep doing this” and et voila: – Technicolor TG582n has surfaced.

The Director of AAISP UK, Adrian Kennard, was quoted as saying:

“The routers are small, they have Wi-Fi, and cheap enough to be our standard ‘free with the service’ router.

“So, Technicolor it is – our new standard IPv6 router and it even has Wi-Fi. Given that RIPE expect to run out or IPv4s next year UK ISPs need to get their act together and start making IPv6 standard. A sensibly priced consumer DSL router with IPv6 as standard will help a lot.”

It might be worth mentioning that at the moment the router can function well solely within an AAISP environment and is not ready for standard purchase – which will be changed shortly, the ISP encouragingly confirmed.
