According to recent reports, Direct Save Telecom started providing the cheapest broadband and calls deal in the UK.
The package includes typical speeds of up to 13Mbps (theoretically up to 24Mbps), a 20GB monthly usage cap as well as inclusive weekend and evening phone calls. And now for the juicy bit: it costs £2.49 per month.
However, customers should be advised that those who may potentially take up the offer, will still be liable for paying line rental as well as signing a 24 month contract.
Customers will also be provided with a free set up and router (customers are expected to pay for delivery though) and the cost of the service will not change at any point, at least this is what Direct Save Telecomn promised.
The CEO of the firm, Stavros Tsolakis, was quoted as saying that prices “were going crazy right now” which was why: “we are delighted to be able to offer this great deal to the UK broadband market. Customers will only have to pay £2.49 a month, which means we will be the lowest priced provider in the UK.
“We envisage this great deal, as well as our excellent customer care policy which includes 24/7 UK based customer support, will allow us to compete with the larger telecom companies who dominate the market just now.
“Simply put, broadband customers will not be able to find a better deal anywhere in the UK – Direct Save Telecom is proud to be able to say this.”
Broadbandwatcher would like to urge you to read the contract before getting your hands on this value deal. It might be amazing for some but totally unsuitable for others – especially if you are renting and expect to move after some time.
