If you were trying to come up with a list of places where wireless broadband should be deployed, you probably would not be the first one.
Wi-Fi operator, The Cloud, is definitely ahead of the game as it has just penned papers with popular tyre company, ATS Euromaster. This means that a whole array of garages will no longer be “notspots”.
The deployment will start as soon as next month (September 2012) and the access is going to be free of charge.
This is great news for those who hate flicking through outdated mags while waiting for their cars to be serviced or tyres fitted as customers can simply scroll through their favourite websites and use social media to kill time.
In addition, according to a recent study, more than 50 per cent of Brits owned a wireless broadband enabled device – which is why it is of no surprise that the Cloud’s services are already available at the Emirates Stadium, Silverstone Race Track, the City of London, Wetherspoon, PizzaExpress, Caffe Nero, Eat, pubs, leisure facilities, restaurants and an array of stations.
Huw Williams, Group Marketing Director, at ATS Euromaster said:
“We want to make sure our customers receive a first-class service from ATS and we think providing WiFi is a really important part of that. Many of our customers visit us during working hours so the WiFi means that they can keep up to date on emails while visiting our garages and taking time away from the office.”
Vince Russell, Managing Director of The Cloud, also stated:
“ATS Euromaster is yet another great example of providing fast reliable WiFi access in places where customers really value it. All our research and experience shows that WiFi is used most during periods of ‘down time dwell time’, when people have a few minutes to kill while they wait for something and want to stay in touch with their work or what’s going on online.
“This is why over 5 million customers are now registered with The Cloud enjoying over 100 million minutes of access every week. That’s how we expect it to be used by ATS customers and we are sure it will be a significant enhancement to the service and experience they receive.”
