BTOpenreach confirms: 80Mbps FTTC trials start in February
BT has been promising to pump up its FTTC speeds (currently at 40Mbps) and now the broadband provider has confirmed that the trials of 80Mbps speeds are approaching and fast. The date of the pilot phase is scheduled for the 6th of February, 2012. BT is planning to pump up the speeds by allocating more spectrum for the services, in more technical detail, from 7MHz to 17MHz.
