Orange sees its customer base go down by 10,000

Mobile operator and broadband provider, Orange, has recently announced its financial results for the second quarter of this year. It has emerged that once again the company witnessed its home broadband subscriber base decrease, this time from 726,000 (which was reported in the Q1 results) to the current number of 716,000. Orange sees price hikes on broadband ISP services in the near future

Orange’s parent company, France Telecom (FT) predicts some gloom for the broadband consumer as it warns that ISPs might have to raise prices for their services. O2 leads the mobile broadband ISP pack

According to research conducted by Ofcom, O2 in fact may be the best mobile broadband provider in the UK, the BBC reported. The telecoms watchdog announced that broadband offered by O2 was nearly three times faster than the provider which scored least points, Orange. O2 is able to offer mobile broadband speeds up to nearly 3Mbps although the average is 1.5Mbps and 2.1Mbps in areas with better coverage. Everything Everywhere teams up with BT for a 4G trial

It seems that Orange keeps on treating and not in any way tricking its customers, as it continues its latest promotional venture.
